It was the last day of the college. Everybody was planning for the next phase of the life. It was the last get together of ours as everyone would be busy in his or her own life after this day.
Shaan was favourite among the girls as he was the most handsome,smart and dashing guy.He was surrounded by the best of the girls of his college as everyone had a dream to be his girl but his eyes were looking for someone else in that room.
Yes,he was looking for Dolly who was always lost in the books and had no time to take care of her looks….actually totally opposite of him . May be opposite poles attract was true in his case.
She was the one with whom he was very comfortable rather he was comfortable with with her only .He was the most wanted boy in the college and many girls had a crush on him but he wanted to spend his last day with her only and there was reason behind that.
He wanted to express his feelings but never got a chance.It was the last chance for him to tell what was in his heart.
“Hi Dolly“he said as she entered in the room. “Where were you? “
“Why are you so late? “he offered drink and took her to the corner of the room.
His emotions were out of control. Before he could say anything to her she held his hand in hers and took him outside the room near her car. He was unable to understand the whole thing….His heart was pounding.
She stood in front of him, took a deep breath and suddenly something unexpected happened. She hugged him tightly !!!
“You know I am really excited and I want to share this news with you.I have not disclosed this to anyone.“
She turned towards her car , took an envelope from the dashboard and told him to open.
As he was opening , Dolly started her talk the way she used to. He was mad for her this way of talking.
“You know you are my best friend and you know I got……. I mean I am going abroad for higher studies and you know …..I am really really excited….I am happy… and…I am planning to settle down there..it’s a beautiful place and I don’t want to come back here…. !!!
You know the reason.I will miss you buddy” and she hugged him once again .
He was crestfallen and he did not realise when did a tear from his eyes fall on her shoulder.
Hey…what happened????
Don’t worry….you are ….i mean you will always be my buddy …my best friend”.
“Congratulations” he said with his broken heart.
“Let’s have party tonight…..”
She quickly moved towards the party hall and he was still standing there looking at the ring in his hand. He dissimulated so beautifully that she didn’t come to know what was going through.
