Future Events:

Winning Moments for Indian hockey team

As hockey is our national game , we must look forward to get some medals. Women’s hockey team has played well but lost the chance to win bronze medal. Men’s hockey team has entered in the Semifinals. They have to face New Zealand  in Semi finals.

Let’s pray for them to come out as a winner.

Comparison between 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth games

It is difficult to compare the performance in both the Commonwealth games because the confidence goes to the next level when the host is your country. The crowd around you is so motivating , hence  you get bound to show your best. You put all your efforts to bring laurels to your country.

It was the first time in the history of Commonwealth Games India won 38 golds and more than 101 medals in 2010. It is not difficult to achieve the same rather more than that but we have to think how we take this Games.

Why not this time ?

Unfortunately, in India sports have never been given due importance . We want our kids to become doctors , engineers but not sports person. The life of a sportsmanis considered very hard and full of struggles.

People like you and me have to encourage our children to play games whole heartedly. Government has to play a major role in this . Many names which are shinning  today at this event will be lost in the coming years. Few lucky ones will survive for few months and then, they will become the history.

Role of media can also not be denied as they can run all the non sense news throughout the day as a Breaking news while the positive news are ignored as they can’t increase their TRP.

There is time to think above all these things and take a strong move towards building a nation which is much more capable of  doing this.

Give some recognition to all those who are winning medals for the country so that feel proud to share their story with coming generation. We  are a country which has talent in every nook and corner hidden under the layers of soil.

Gear up to remove those layers of soil to bring that talent to the world.
