Must read article for all. Many of us began practicing meditation as adults after hearing about or reading about its benefits. But imagine if we had been introduced to it when we were much younger. Could we have handled those emotionally challenging adolescent years better? Would we have handled exam stress better?
Post pandemic a lot of kids are stressed and having trouble coping with school and socializing. Meditation will surely help alleviate some of this. The resources you have shared are excellent!
Teaching early always has benefits. The apps and sites you have shared are helpful.
Meditating is really great whatever age you are. I tried meditation with my daughters and noticed how better they slept.
Meditation is important for everyone. Especially for kids it is important to calm their mind and focus on their goals. I could not agree more with your opinion here.
One thing almost all kids faced post-pandemic, was adjusting to the school environment. The restlessness was common and I tried to make my daughter cope with the situation by making her perform the puja everyday. The 2 minutes that she spends in doing namaskar, she engages herself completely in the ritual. This has helped her calm down a lot. I think that is also a way of meditation.
I had been meditating since childhood and I must say your points are good. Our kids’ brains are tired, and children of all ages really need opportunities where they can take time out each day “unplugged” to relax and focus. Meditation offers this break and helps kids function more effectively and clearly. Children today also have reportedly high stress levels.
Meditation 🧘♂️ is important for all irrespective of age . But keeping in mind the present status of child psychology I strongly believe in the need of Meditation for kids. I appreciate you for sharing such important topic with us. Keep writing

I recall we had a yoga class in school twice a week and were introduced to meditation then. A lot many still consider it hocus pocus but it actually works. Whatever the age.
