Human nature is conditioned in a way that is more inclined towards negativity. We find ourselves more easy to get connected with negative, low or adverse situation.
Our imagination first think about the negative results that may be due to our previous experiences. We let the failures and negative experiences to be live in our mind for a longer time. As the proverb says- thou shall you sow, so shall you reap.
If you have sown the seeds of negativity, how the plant of positivity be grow ? Ask this question to yourself.
We usually follow a set pattern in our life. It is not only in our thought process but also in our daily routine. Recall the way you get up in the morning and what is the first thing you do and from where do you pick up your things ie brush , soap, towel. All at fixed places ! you need not to put any effort and how smoothly the things go. Similarly in our mind too the thought process go smoothly if we follow set pattern. In this case the mind works effortlessly.
Now imagine the situation where you do not find the toothbrush at your fixed place. The behavior at that time goes irrational. You become restless, move here and there and get anxious. You lose control on your mind. You can’t concentrate on other things except your toothbrush. It is because your mind is not trained for this situation.
The same is in life. When we face adverse situation, we go crazy. We can’t think of anything else except that same situation. We haven’t prepared our mind for such negative incidents that are not part of our daily routine.
Once you know that this is a negative situation, no need to repeat the same response that you did in past. Change into a new response. Think of giving a response in a different manner next time.
Be the master of your thoughts and decide what will stay in your mind and register a response to situation knowinly not by what has happened to you in the past.
The factors that determine or make us feel depressed
- Attitude- Attitude is very important to see and understand the given situation. The board may seen empty or having a dot on it but do not forget to 99 percent of it is the space on the board. you see the glass half filled or half empty is your attitude.
- Inclination- It is righty said birds of same feather flock together. Your inclination towards choosing your friends or picking up the thoughts totally depend on you.
- Thoughts- It is very important for you to train your mind to process the thoughts. Just accept and move on. There are many ways by which you can save yourself . You just need a try.
- Past experiences- Let go the past experiences with the lesson for future. that is is going to add a value
- Tendency to react or response- Take a time to give a response to the situation rather than giving a reaction. Response helps you to understand better with more active senses.
